I fight

I Fight

I fight for the right to write
I fight my head
I fight my pen
I fight the words

I fight for them to come out right
Not to sound twisted
I fight to put them on paper
I fight with my pen to make them sound right

Oh if I could just get them right
The first time.
I wouldn't need so much paper
I wouldn't need so much ink
But I am a writer, so I will fight the words to the very end.
